Evergreen Country Dancers of Olympia demonstration team takes country-western dance into the community by demonstrating all aspects of traditional country-western dance and by teaching the dance basics. The Team consists of approximately 20 members. ECDO is a "Dance Family" that enjoys working together to improve their dancing skills and involving others in this enjoyable, challenging hobby.

Performances can be scheduled for almost any evening, however, weekends are preferred as most of the team members work throughout the greater Thurston/Mason/Pierce County area. Performances have included public events such as Thurston, Lewis Mason and Kitsap county fairs, Garlic Festival, Lacey Fun Fair, OysterFest, Christmas Forest, Ellensburg Rodeo, Sand In the City, Tacoma Holiday Gift Show, Monroe Draft Horse Extravaganza, nursing homes, schools, charity events and private parties. To best demonstrate country-western dance, we need sufficient space to hold up to approximately 20 dancers.

Since ECDO is a not-for-profit organization, we do not require a fee for our performances. However, donations do help offset expenses, and are appreciated.

Want to be a Dance Team Member?

ECDO is always looking for new members, singles, or couples. Team members must have a general understanding of the basics of country-western dance to include two-step, waltz, east and west coast swing and cha-cha.
